2/3 C Butter
1 1/2 C Flour
1/2 C Sugar
2 Egg Yolks
1 tsp Vanilla
2 Egg Whites, slightly beaten
1 C Finely Chopped Nuts
1/3 - 1/2 C Jam

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter with an electric mixer on medium speed for 30 seconds. Add about half of the flour, the sugar, egg yolks, and vanilla. Beat in the remaining flour. Cover and chill for one hour. Shape dough into 1" balls. Roll balls in egg whites, then in walnuts. Place 1" apart on greased cookie sheet. Press centers with your thumb. Bake in a 375 oven for 10 - 12 minutes. Cool cookies on a wire rack. Just before serving, fill center with jam. Makes about 40.
