Brownie Mousse Caramel Trifle Recipe

Ingredients: 2 bags brownie mix: 1/2 box Ghirardeli from Costco (*make the night before) – cut off edges Chocolate Mousse (*make the night before) Whipped Cream Topping (make just before assembling layers) 1 pint heavy whipping cream, 4 T powdered sugar, 2 teaspoons vanilla (can use 12 oz thawed French Vanilla Cool Whip to substitute) ½ jar caramel sauce (Trader Joe’s salted caramel) 1 (8 oz) box Trader Joe’s dark/light milk chocolate toffee bars, smashed into bits (can use Heath bars or Heath Toffee bits)

Directions:1. Night before: Prepare brownie mix according to directions and cool completely. [Hint: Use parchment in pan so the brownies don’t stick.] Wrap pan in foil and store on counter overnight.
2. Night before: Prepare chocolate mousse (store overnight in fridge).
3. Morning: Make whipped cream and Assemble 3 layers (bottom to top) in glass trifle bowl: --⅓ crumbled brownie bits (*don’t use the brownie edges) --2 Tablespoons unheated caramel sauce, drizzled --2 handfuls toffee bits --⅓ chocolate mousse --⅓ homemade whipped cream
4. Top with remaining toffee bits and refrigerate for 8 hours |
