Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4-6 limes (enough to make 1 cup fresh lime juice)
1 liter (4 cups) club soda
1 cup sugar
9 ounces white rum (or 1 1/4 cup or 6 shots)
fresh mint leaves
pitcher, clear cups or glasses, straws

Directions:
Directions:
1. Using the back of a wooden spoon, muddle a big bunch of mint leaves (approx a large handful or 1/2-1 package; amount is not really crucial) roughly chopped mint leaves in the bottom of a pitcher.

2. Add 1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice and 1 cup sugar and stir until dissolved.

3. Add 9 ounces rum and 1 liter club soda.

4. Pour into glasses filled with crush (not cubed) ice, making sure to strain the mint leaves as you pour. [Note: letting this mixture sit for a bit if you have time (e.g., 10-30 minutes) enhances the mint flavor, but is not necessary]

5. Garnish with a fresh slice of lime and a sprig of mint, and serve with a straw.
