Sift Together:
2 1/4 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 tsp salt

Add -
1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup milk
1 1/2 tsp flavoring
beat 2 minutes with an electric mixer - medium

Add 1/3 cup milk
1/2 cup unbeaten egg whites (4)
Beat two more minutes

Pour in 9 inch pan - 30-35 minutes at 350º

White frosting with nuts:
2 egg whites
2 cups powder sugar
half and half
1 sq butter
vanilla
