2 cups sugar
2 cups milk
2 tsp. each: salt and nutmeg
6 egg whites - beat stiff
6 egg yolks - beat well
5 cups flour
5 T. melted Crisco or fat
6 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Pour milk on sugar stir to dissolve. Add salt and nutmeg. Stir. Add egg yolks and melted fat and mix. Mix flour and baking powder together in a bowl. Mix liquid and flour mixture together well. Fold in egg whites to the mixture. Drop by spoonful's into hot oil until golden brown.
