1 cup seedless raisins
1 cup shortening
1½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup molasses
3 eggs
3½ cup sifted white flour
¼ tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. ground cloves
½ tsp. nutmeg
1 cup walnuts
1 cup fine chopped apples

Directions:

Rinse raisins with hot water and drain on absorbent paper. Cream shortening and sugar until fine, add molasses and eggs one at a time beating after each one. Mix and sift flour, salt, baking soda, and spices, add to mixture. Stir in nuts, raisins and apples.
Drop by spoonful on greased baking sheet.
