onion, diced
bacon, crisped and crumbled
green pepper, diced
kale or spinach, torn
milk

Add all to a pot, and simmer until potatoes are tender.

I remember walking out to the barn to look for kale with Grandma Vi. She called them pig weeds, and said it grew naturally out there. This was a meal she probably ate a lot growing up living off the ranch.
