Cowboy Coffee Cake Recipe

2 cups pre-sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
2 cups brown sugar
⅔ cup shortening
2 tsp. baking powder
tsp. baking soda
tsp. cinnamon
tsp. nutmeg
1 cup sour milk
2 slightly beaten eggs

In a big bowl put: flour, salt and brown sugar. Combine and cut-in shortening. Mixing well. Save ⅔ cup for crumb topping. Add to this baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg. Combine the milk and eggs and add to mixture. Mix by hand pour into pans. Sprinkle top with the reserved crumb mixture before baking.

Bake 35 - 40 minutes at 350.
