1 lb bacon
1 lb ground beef
1 large onion
1 large bell pepper
3 can whole tomatoes
1 lb elbow noodles
salt & pepper, to taste
1 tbs garlic powder

Directions:
Directions:
In a large pot cook the bacon (1 pound) until halfway cooked. Then add hamburger, onions (1 large), bell pepper, garlic powder (1 tablespoon) and salt and pepper to taste. Cook, stirring occasionally, until meat is thoroughly cooked. Next, add in the canned tomatoes and crush them by hand in the pot. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil and add in the elbow macaroni. Once cooked, drain the macaroni and add it to the meat mixture.

A Note from Alma:
This is a hard one because everybody loves the chop suey. Actually, I’m making it today. I don’t know for who. I’ll have to eat it myself! I made it a couple of weeks ago, and Bob came to pick up something, he said, “What’s that smell?” I said, “Guess, Bob.” So he said, “Can I have some?” I said, “Yeah.” “Well, can I take some home?” I said, “Yes!” If he knew I was making it today, he’d be over later to get some.
