1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 package Lipton onion soup mix
1 large can crushed tomatoes
1 small can tomato sauce
1 large can English peas
1 bell pepper, chopped
1 cup of water
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 package (16 oz) Kluski brand noodles (see note)

This recipe is best prepared in an oven safe dutch oven or skillet so you can transfer from stovetop to the oven.

Heat oven to 350º

In a large skillet or dutch oven, brown ground beef. Drain excess oil, but don't remove all of it.

Add onion soup mix, tomatoes, tomato sauce, peas, bell pepper and water to the ground beef and simmer on low with the lid on.

Cook egg noodles according to package directions.

Combine egg noodles and ground beef mix. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Top the beef and noodle mixture with cheddar cheese and put in oven.

Bake uncovered for 20-30 minutes until bubbly and cheese is melted and browned.

Lovely served with a salad and side of green beans!
