Ingredients:
BROWNIE:

1 box brownie mix
eggs, oil, water as per instructions on brownie mix box

PECAN PIE FILLING:

1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. light corn syrup
4 eggs
1/4 c. unsalted butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven according to brownie package instructions. Mix brownies as according to package directions. Pour into a 9x13 greased dish. Place in center of oven and bake for 20 minutes. The brownies will not be done yet but that's okay.

Whisk together the sugar, corn syrup, eggs, butter. and vanilla in a small saucepan. Heat on med-high and cook, stirring constantly. Cook filling about 15 minutes or until it has thickened enough to coat the back of your spoon. Stir in the pecans and continue to cook 2-3 minutes, or until it reaches the consistency of runny oatmeal. You want it loose enough to pour over the brownies but not liquid.

After 20 minutes, remove the brownies from the oven and pour the pecan pie mixture over them, spreading it out evenly.

Place brownies back in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pecan pie mixture only jiggles slightly in the middle when you move the pan.

Let cool to room temperature before cutting.
