1 pound hamburger
1 small onion
1 can refried beans (black beans)
1 package taco seasoning
1 chopped tomato
1/4 chopped head of lettuce
1 avocado, lime, salt, pepper
1 can sliced black olives
1 container sour cream
1 package shredded Mexican cheese
1 package large flour tortillas

Directions:

Brown hamburger and chopped onion together. Drain grease from hamburger. Add refried beans, taco seasoning, and 1/4 cup of water. In a skillet heat up a teaspoon of vegetable oil. Place tortilla in pan and brown on both sides. The tortilla should be slightly crunchy. Take out of the pan and add hamburger, cheese, and fixings. To make guacamole cut open avocado, spoon into a bowl, and mash with a fork. Add the juice of a lime and salt and pepper to taste.

This recipe was a biweekly favorite in the Howe household. For many years we went to the grocery on payday Fridays and went home to make burritos.
