1 package Dry Yeast
2 cups lukewarm water
¾ cup Butter
⅓ cup Sugar
1 Egg, well beaten
4 cups Flour
½ cup Cornmeal
1 ½ teaspoons salt

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the yeast and the water and stir to mix. Melt the butter; combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl (including the yeast/water mixture). Cover and let rest for 1 hour. (You can omit this if you like. The original recipe does not require this. I think they are better if it rests for up to 1 hour)

Spoon into greased muffin tins. Bake in a 400 degree oven of 15 to 20 minutes.

*This dough may be kept in the refrigerator in a covered container. It gets better as it ages.

I would make these rolls whenever I made something for dinner that may not be a big hit with everyone. The kids would always be happy to have these warm rolls. They are especially great with Strawberry Jam.
