1 1/2 cups yellow corn meal
1/2 cup unbleached flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup lactose free 2% milk
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 egg, beaten
Vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
Heat 2 inches of vegetable oil to 375 F
In a large bowl combine the other ingredients and mix thoroughly
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls into the hot oil, frying a few at a time for about 3 minutes
or until golden brown
Drain on paper towels
