6 pork chops, ¾ to 1 inch thick
1 t. salt
Black pepper to taste
¾ c. uncooked regular rice (or instant rice may be added after other ingredients are done)
1 ½ - 2 ½ T. taco seasoning mix
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
1 ½ c. water
½ c. cheddar cheese
1 medium sized green pepper cut into rings

Directions:

Brown pork chops, arrange in a 13x9x2 inch baking pan and season with salt. Sprinkle rice around chops. Combine taco seasoning mix, tomato sauce, and water. Pour over chops and rice.
Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake 1 to 1 ¼ hours in a moderate oven, 350º .(Cooking time depends upon thickness of chops).
Remove from oven 10 minutes before done. Arrange green pepper slices on pork chops. Sprinkle cheese on rice and chops. Cover and continue cooking.
