5 slices thick cut bacon, uncooked
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Line a baking sheet with foil and place a rack in the pan. Arrange the bacon side-by-side on top of the rack.
3. Combine the brown sugar and peppers in a small bowl.
4. Sprinkle around half of the sugar on top of the bacon slices and gently pat it down with your fingers.
    

Let it sit for 5 minutes so that the sugar absorbs moisture and sticks to the bacon. Gently flip over each slice of bacon and
sprinkle the sugar on the other side. Use up all the sugar.
5. Bake for 35 to 50 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy. Thicker bacon will take longer to cook. Allow the bacon to cool for 30
minutes, then sprinkle it with some minced fresh parsley and arrange the slices upright in a glass or cup to serve.
