Ingredients:	Ingredients: ½ cup butter ½ cup shortening ½ cup sugar ½ cup powdered sugar 1 egg 1½ tsp. vanilla 2¼ cups flour ½ tsp. soda ½ tsp. cream of tartar ½ tsp. salt

Directions:	Directions: 1. Cream butter and shortening 2. Add sugar and powered sugar to the butter, and cream together 3. Stir in vanilla 4. Chill dough for at least 1 hour 5. Shape into 1" balls 6. Place on ungreased baking sheet 7. Butter bottom of glass and dip into sugar. Note: Be sure to re-dip the glass each time. Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
