5 to 8 quarts popped corn
1 cup butter or 2 stick of margarine
½ tsp. soda
½ cup light corn syrup
1 tsp. salt
2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed

Directions:
Directions:
1. Spread popped corn in a large shallow sheet pan.
2. Put in a very slow oven (250º) to keep warm and crisp.
3. Combine butter or margarine, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt in a 2-qt. saucepan.
4. Place over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
5. Boil to firm ball stage (248º) or about 5 minutes
6. Remove from heat; stir in soda. Syrup will foam.
7. Take popped corn from oven and pour caramel mixture over it.
8. Bake 1½ hours @ 200º, stirring every 15 minutes.
