1½ cups sifted flour
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup shortening (half butter and half margarine)

2 beaten eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups Quick Oats
Powdered Sugar
Whole pecans

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream sifted flour, salt, baking powder, soda, brown sugar and shortening together.
2. Add beaten eggs and vanilla
3. Add quick oats
4. Chill dough
5. Form into walnut size balls
6. Roll in powdered sugar
7. Place onto greased cookie sheet
8. Put whole pecan in center
9. Press on sheet with glass that has been buttered so it won't stick.

Bake for 10 minute @ 325º Makes 5 or 6 dozen
