8 large cabbage leaves
1 pound ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 small garlic clove or pinch of garlic powder
1 cup cooked rice
1 t salt
1/4 t pepper
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 can condensed tomato soup ( may use 2 if you prefer more sauce)

Directions:
Directions:
Cook cabbage leaves in boiling water a few minutes to soften. Drain well.
In skillet, combine ground beef, onion and garlic. Cook until meat is browned and onion is tender. Add rice, salt, pepper and egg. Divide mixture among cabbage leaves. Roll and secure with toothpicks. Place rolls in deep skillet or pan and pour soup mined with water over them. Cover and cook over low heat about 40 minutes. Stir occasionally and spoon sauce over cabbage rolls.
