3-4 pounds boneless beef shoulder or chuck roast
2 teaspoons salt
⅛ teaspoon pepper
4 carrots peeled and cut in 4 inch pieces
3 potatoes peeled and quartered
2 small onions sliced

Directions:
Directions:
Put meat in crock pot and add salt and pepper

Place sliced onions on top

Layer potatoes and carrots around sides of meat
Add water to cover meat

Cook on low 10-12 hours or high 4-6 hours

Instead of all water can use 1 can french onion soup and 1 can water
