1 ½ lbs. flank steak; thinly sliced against the grain
¼ c. cornstarch
1 T. toasted sesame oil
1 t. minced garlic
1 t. minced ginger
½ c. low-sodium soy sauce
⅓ c. brown sugar
½ c. water
1+ t. chili paste with garlic (opt.)
½ c. green onions; cut into ½-inch pieces

Directions:

1. Place the flank steak in a bowl with cornstarch and toss to coat evenly. Add to slow cooker.
2. Mix together: sesame oil, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, brown sugar, chili paste and water in a small bowl and then pour into the slow cooker. Stir to coat the meat in the sauce.
3. Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours and low for 4-5 hours.
4. Stir in green onions, then serve over rice.

This smells absolutely amazing as it cooks all day! I do mine on the low setting so it cooks longer and the meat is super tender when done.
