Ingredients:
Salisbury Steaks

1# ground beef (80/20)
1 egg
2-3 slices bread, torn up
⅓ c milk
¼ c Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp minced onion
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp season salt
¼ tsp smoked paprika
¼ tsp mustard powder
Pepper to taste

Gravy

2 medium onions, halved and sliced
2-3 cloves minced garlic
1 tbsp EVOO
2 tbsp butter
¼ c white wine
2 bay leaves
½ tsp dried thyme
1 tbsp sugar
S & P to taste
2¾ c beef broth
¼ c water
1½ tbsp corn starch

Directions:
Directions:
In a small bowl pour milk over torn up bread and let it soak up a few minutes. Add a little more milk if you need too, you want it to be mushy and a little drippy.

Mix rest of ingredients, including bread with all the milk, for the Salisbury steak together and form 4 patties.

Over medium heat in a wide deep skillet, brown patties 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Add evoo and butter to pan, then add onions, garlic, bay leaves, thyme, sugar and S&P. Mix together well, and allow onions to caramelize, 20ish minutes, lower heat if need be, sometimes the sugar makes them browns too quickly.

Add wine, stirring and scrapping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan, raise heat back up to medium if you lowered it and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add beef broth, and Salisbury steak patties to pan, allow to simmer for about 15 minutes.

Mix corn starch and water, then add to pan, stir gently until gravy thickens.

Serve over mashed potatoes
