-8 slices of Texas toast (or thick sliced bread)
-2 large eggs
-1 cup whole milk
-1½ tsp. vanilla extract
-1 tbsp. cinnamon
-1 tbsp. nutmeg (optional)
-1 tsp. butter unsalted
-Powdered sugar and maple syrup for topping

Directions:
Directions:
1. Heat large skillet or pan over medium-low heat.
2. Beat eggs with vanilla, milk, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
3. Melt butter on skillet.
4. Coat each side of a slice of bread in the batter (don't soak).
5. Place on griddle until slightly browned on each side.
6. Top with powdered sugar and maple syrup.
