1 (10 oz.) pkg. Miniature marshmallows
1/4 c. Butter
12 c. Popcorn

Melt butter in a heavy bottom pan. Add marshmallows and cook over medium heat until marshmallows are melted.

Add popcorn and stir until completely coated. Butter hands (or spray with Pam) and shape into 8-9 balls, setting each ball on waxed paper when done. Best eaten within 1-2 days.

When I make them for Halloween treats, I add orange food coloring to the popcorn mix. At Christmas time I use the red and green food coloring.

When we were kids we would swing around the pocket trick-or-treating. Verna Hall always handed out popcorn balls. They were amazing and the first thing we ate when we got home. Marcella's recipe is just as good and so easy!
