"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
8-9 oz/250 g package of Osem Petit Beurre cookies (or other Tea biscuits)
¼ cup cocoa powder
½ cup sugar
Sprinkles, cocoa, grated coconut, icing (confectioner’s) sugar, etc., for rolling
2 oz/50g margarine
1-2 Tbsp. or to taste – Dark Rum – or another liqueur you enjoy
¼ - ⅔cup water (or part coffee, orange juice, or another liquid you like)

Directions:
Directions:
Crush up the cookies to the consistency of crumbs. Mix all dry ingredients in a very large bowl. Add margarine & rum to bowl and stir very, very well.
Now, drizzle the water in only until mixture, when pressed, holds together and can be pressed into a ball that holds together. Fill a small bowl with whatever coating material you’re going to use.Scoop out a generous tablespoon of mixture and form into a ball. Roll between palms to smooth out the shape. As you make the balls, toss them in the “coating” bowl and bounce around until they’re evenly covered.
Remove balls to plate or pan. Chill, but they’re okay at room temperature as well. This recipe was adapted from: www.breadland.org/.

Personal Notes:
(Miri is on the Board of Directors of the San Diego Diplomacy Council and is originally from Israel) "Kadurei Shokolad (Chocolate Balls) are a quintessential Israeli treat. They made out of crushed cookies and chocolate, and usually coated in sprinkles, which makes them look festive and give the outside a nice crunch. This recipe was made in every Israeli home kitchen, and is a part of the fabric of my Israeli childhood."
