Ox Tail Soup-instant pot Recipe

Ox tail pieces
orange peel
4-5 sliced ginger
4-5 star anise
beef broth
onions


Later add:
3-4 cut into 1-2" sliced carrots
1 sliced into chunks onions
3-4 cut into 1-2" potatoes
daikon (opt.)


Directions:
Directions:
In the instant pot:

SAUTE' the ox tail, pour enough oil to cover the bottom of the pot.
Brown the oxtail, with salt, pepper, garlic, sliced ginger
Add 4-5 star anise
Add water/beef broth to cover the oxtails.

CANCEL the instant pot.

MANUAL set for 45 minutes, close and cover

Wait at least 10-15 minutes after the meat is cooked, release the pressure
Then add vegetables and cook another 6 minutes, MANUAL

Once all done, if you would like to thicken the oxtail

Mix cornstarch with water and add to the liquid pot.
