3 large egg whites
⅔ c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla (or other flavor extract: strawberry, orange, almond...)
1 dash salt
tsp. cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients except sugar.

Blend in sugar gradually until stiff white peaks form.

Put into a ziplock bag with corner cut and pipe 1 inch cookies.

Bake at 250F for about 1 hour. Turn off heat and leave in oven for another hour. Store in an airtight container.
