½ C. white sugar
¾ C. evaporated milk
1 T. scant corn starch

1 glob butter

Boil 1st 3 ingredients to 228º. Add butter, cool to 110º Beat.

This is a family favorite, and very tempermental. Best to make on dry days. Grandmother served it on devil's food cake, and when made right it's the best thing ever. Phil & Steve had it a lot growing up.
