3/4 t baking soda
1/2 t water
1/2 t vanilla
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup water
1 T butter
3/4 cup peanuts

Directions:
Directions:
Butter a cookie sheet and place in the freezer. Mix baking soda, water and vanilla together and set aside. In heave saucepan mix sugar, corn syrup and water. Cook over medium high heat, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a rolling boil. Reduce heat to medium and cook to soft ball stage or 240 degrees. Stir in butter and peanuts. Continue cooking stirring constantly, until mixture reaches hard crack or 300 degrees. Remove immediately from heat. Stir in baking soda mixture. Pour on frozen cookie sheet. Cool and break into pieces.
