¾ cup milk
1 T. sugar + 1 tsp. sugar + ½ cup sugar
½ tsp. salt
½ cup warm water
1 envelope yeast
4½ cup flour
½ cup butter or margarine
2 eggs
½ cup raisins
¼ cup citron
2 T. orange rind
1 tsp. lemon rind

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk and the first amount of sugar and salt. Dissolve second amount of sugar in the warm water. When dissolved sprinkle on yeast. Add the flour, butter and the third amount of sugar, eggs, raisins, citron, orange rind and lemon rind to the yeast mixture. Slowly add the milk mixture. Mix well and knead. Let rest, when doubled in size bake at 400º for 10 minutes then reduce heat to 350º and bake 20 minutes longer.
