Cathy (Mom)


1 c. sugar
c. margarine
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
tsp. salt
tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. cocoa

1 c. coconut
⅓ c. water

c. sugar
c. brown sugar
c. chocolate chips
4 Tbsp. margarine
4 Tbsp. milk

Set oven to 350.
Mix well the sugar, margarine, eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour, salt and baking powder. Divide dough in half. Mix cocoa with a little water to make a paste. Add cocoa mixture to one of the halves. Press into bottom of 9x13 greased pan. Into the other half of the batter, add coconut and water. Put this on top of chocolate layer. Bake 20 minutes.
FROSTING (frost while still warm): To make frosting, mix sugars, milk and margarine. Stir in chips. Boil for 1 minute.
