3 cups sugar
4 eggs
2/3 cup water
1 cup oil
2 cups pumpkin or 1 (14.5 oz.) can pumpkin

3 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 cup nuts chopped (optional)

Blend together wet ingredients. Set aside. Mix and sift dry ingredients. Add flour mixture to pumpkin mixture bit by bit until blended. Add nuts. Place in prepared loaf pans. Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour.
