2 cups sugar
2 cups warm light cream
1 cup corn syrup
½ tsp. salt
⅓ cup butter or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
½ cup nuts

Directions:
Directions:
1. Mix sugar, 1 cup warm cream and corn syrup, salt in a large saucepan
2. Stir about 10 minutes.
3. Add remaining cream very slowly so mixture does not stop boiling.
4. Cook 5 minutes longer.
5. Stir in butter, 1 tsp. at a time.
6. Cook slowly, stirring until a small amount of mixture forms a firm ball in cold water (248º)
7. Remove from heat and add vanilla and nuts. Mix gently.
8. Pour into buttered 8" x 8" dish or pan.
9. When cool, turn out on board and cut into 1" squares.
