1 can crescent rolls
1 apple peeled and cut into 8 pieces
1 stick butter
3/4 cup to 1 cup sugar (depending on preference)
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup of water (or 12 oz Mt Dew or Sprite)
Sugar to sprinkle on top of dough before cooking

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º, separate crescent rolls into individual slices.
Peel apple and cut in 8 equal size slices.
Place one slice of apple on large end of crescent dough and roll up.
Place in greased 9x13 pan with space between each roll.
Mix butter, sugar and cinnamon in measuring cup or microwavable bowl and microwave for 1-2 minutes.
Stir and spoon over each roll.
Pour soda around edge of pan.
Sprinkle sugar on top of dumplings before cooking.
Place in preheated oven and bake 15-18 minutes til browned.

If desire not to use soda, add 1 cup water to butter/sugar mix and then microwave. Great served with whipped cream or ice cream.

Reduce sugar to 3/4 cup if desire not so sweet.

May substitute or use with fresh or frozen peaches. Peel fresh peaches and slice. Do not thaw peaches if frozen. Place slice of peach on dough and roll up.

Will want to double this recipe because it is so good.
