Peach Cobbler Recipe

1 c sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 T flour
1/2 t nutmeg
4 c peeled, sliced peaches
1 1/2 c flour
2 T sugar
1 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
1/3 c butter, softened
1 egg, slightly beaten
3 T milk
3 T sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together first four ingredients; then stir in peaches. Pour into 9 X 13 pan. Mix together rest of dry ingredients, then cut in the butter. Stir in egg an milk until just moistened. Crumble over the top of the peaches. Sprinkle sugar over the top. Bake at 400º until golden brown.

This is from a Land O'Lakes cookbook that was given to me by Jody. I have used canned peaches, but fresh are best.
