1/2 cup flour
1 cup milk
1 cup butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Blend 1/2 cup flour with 1 cup milk in small saucepan. Cook over low heat; stir until thick. Cool completely.

Cream the butter and the powdered sugar with the vanilla until light and fluffy.
Beat in the flour mixture until smooth.

Good frosting and holds up well. This was my mother in law's recipe (Jean Sickonic).
