2 c. flour
2½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. dry mustard
½ tsp. salt
4 T cold butter, chopped
¾ c. grated cheddar cheese
⅔ c. milk
1 egg

Directions:
Preheat oven to 450º
In large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, mustard and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly.
Stir in ½ c. cheese. In small separate bowl, mix milk and egg.

Make a well in center of flour mix and add milk/egg mix.Mix until smooth.Mixture will be a little sticky. If too sticky add a bit more flour.

Turn dough out onto floured surface.Roll out to ½" thickness and cut into squares or rounds. Place on parchment lined (or sprayed) cookie sheet. Brush tops with milk and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Let sit 15 minutes to rise and "poof" then bake 15 minutes until slightly golden.

FOR CHEDDAR GARLIC STICKS
Add to flour mix: 1 T minced garlic, 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese, 1/2 T parsley flakes. nstead of cutting in circles or squares, cut into strips 1"wide x 6" long.
