3 large onions sliced
1/2 cup butter or margerine
6 boullion cubes
4 cups hot water
1 tsp. worchestershire sauce
salt

croutons/crusty bread
swiss cheese

Directions:
Directions:
In a large skillet, cook onions in butter until lightly browned. In pot, combine onions inbutter with boullion, water, worces. sauce, and salt. Cover and cook on low 4 to 6 hours. Top each bowl bowl of soup with croutons and cheese and put under broiler until bubbly.

This recipe came from Jean Sickonic. We used this recipe around the holidays and my mom, Anne Marie Keinert, would use this recipe on New Year's Eve. We would always have a bowl of this soup late at night.
