"The tradition of Italian cooking is that of the matriarch. This is the cooking of grandma. She didn't waste time thinking too much about the celery. She got the best celery she could and then she dealt with it."--Mario Batali

Personal Notes:
We put this sauce on EVERYTHING. We first started with this recipe on noodles as a quick dinner. Then one day, I had the thought, what if I put this on pizza? We have used it as both a drizzle and the base sauce for a nice homemade pizza. Let's not forget chicken too! Makes for a great wing sauce, or even a nice sauce for a chicken taco or sandwich.

Want a healthier option for this? Replace the vegetable oil with 2 tablespoons of non-fat plain yogurt. On weight watchers, the difference is 37 points per serving for the normal recipe, or just 5 points per serving with this one little change!
