2 cups bread cubes
2 cups milk
3 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
dash salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
opt: 1/2 cup golden raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Use day-old bread, crust and all, cutting it in 1/4 to1/2 inch cubes. Place these into a buttered 1 quart baking dish. add raisins
Scald the milk with the butter and sugar.
Beat the eggs slightly; add salt; then stir in the warm milk and vanilla.
Pour over the bread cubes .Bake for 1 hour at 350º or until small knife comes out clean
when inserted in center of pudding.
