9-inch double crust pie
1 quart blueberries
1 tbsp. fine white dry breadcrumbs
3 tbsp. flour
1 c. sugar
Dash of salt
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Make pastry. Roll in half and line the pie tin. Sprinkle bread crumbs over the bottom of the dough.

Pick over the blueberries; wash in cold water and remove stems and rotten ones. In a separate bowl, blend flour, sugar, salt. Sprinkle ⅓ of this mixture over the bread crumbs already in the pie tin. “Turn in berries” and spread compactly. Drizzle lemon juice over berries. Sprinkle remaining flour mixture over berries. Dot with butter. Moisten edge of pastry and lay second pastry dough on top. Cut vents in dough.

Bake 12 - 15 minutes at 450º and then reduce heat to 325º degrees for 20 - 25 minutes or until pastry is brown and juice bubbles through vents.
