1-1/2 cup sugar
1 cup butter, softened
4 eggs
2 cups sifted flour
1tbsp lemon extract OR 1 tsp lemon extract & 1 tsp vanilla extract
1 can cherry pie filling

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at at time beating well after each at low speed. Add flour and extract and mix well. Pour into a greased and floured 15 x 10 x 1 jelly roll pan. Mark off 24 square. Put 1 tbsp, around 3 cherries, of pie filling into each square. Bake at 350 for until cake when tested comes out clean, 25 to 40 minutes. Cool. Cut square and sprinkle with confectionary sugar.
