2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
Whisk the first five ingredients in a bowl.

1 cup butter
1 cup water
In a small saucepan, combine the butter and water. Bring to just a boil and then stir in to the flour mixture.

2 large eggs
1/2 cups sour cream
1 tsp almond extract
In a small bowl, whisk above ingredients until blended. Add to the flour mixture, whisking constantly.

Frosting:
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup 2 percent milk
4 ½ cups powdered sugar
1/2 tsp almond extract
Bring butter and milk to just a boil. Add powdered sugar and extract and mix.

Directions:
Directions:
Bake 18-22 minutes in 375 oven in a 15 x 10 x 1 inch pan. Cool the cake and then frost.
