1 unbaked pie crust
¾ cup dark molasses
¾ cup boiling water
½ tsp. baking soda
1½ cups all-purpose flour
¼ butter
½ brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Dissolve baking soda in the hot water and add molasses. Combine sugar and flour and rub in butter to make crumbs. Pour ½ of the mixture into the unbaked pie crust. Add ½ of the crumb mixture. Continue alternating layers, ending with crumbs on top. Bake for approximately 35 minutes.
