In a 9x13 baking dish, place stick of butter and put in the preheating oven, melting the butter. Open bag of frozen blackberries and sprinkle the 1/2 cup of sugar evenly, and set to the side. In a mixing bowl whisk flour and sugar together. Add milk and vanilla and combine. The batter will resemble a thin pancake batter. After butter has melted take out of oven and pour the batter into the baking dish. Evenly distribute the sugared blackberries over the cobbler batter. Bake 50-60 minutes.
