I freeze unused bread, rolls etc.in freezer all year. Cube the bread, sprinkle with
Poultry seasoning and freeze.
When ready to make the stuffing:Spread cubed bread out on cookie sheet to dry out, sprinkle with poultry seasoning, salt and pepper, you can also place the cookie sheet in low temp oven to dry out, for an hour or so, OR you can buy already seasoned dried bags of bread ready to make stuffing
Place the bread cubes In a Large bowl ( I use my freshly scrubbed sink for the amount I usually make)
Jimmy Dean Sausage (cooked & crumbled)
sometimes I add drained cans of mushrooms also.
Add Poultry seasoning, salt and pepper to taste
and mix well
Add warm chicken broth to above until you reach the desired moisture & consistancy
you desire. I add poultry season,salt & pepper and mix well as I go along.
TASTING after you mix each time until it meets your desired taste.
