Pastry for 2 crust
7 c peeled, sliced apples
1 c sugar
1/3 c flour
1 t nutmeg
1 t cinnamon
dash of salt
2-3 T butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425º. Stir together four, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Mix with apples. Add to pie pan; dot with butter. Cover with top crust. Add slits to top crust. Cover edges with aluminum foil and remove for last 15 minutes of baking. Bake 40 - 50 minutes until crust is brown and juice may bubble through the slits.

I dehydrate apples and have used them in place of fresh. Boil a cup pf water or apple juice and add the dried apples. Simmer until apples are "juiced up". Drain well before adding the dry mix.
