1 c. shortening or margarine
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla

3 Tbsp Sugar
3 tsp cinnamon

Preheat oven to 375

Cream sugar, shortening and eggs. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Chill 30 minutes.

Form into a ball and roll and mix in the cinnamon sugar mixture.

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 8-10 minutes

Store in air tight container if you prefer a moist cookie.
