2 1/4 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, (room temp)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs (room temperature)
1 bag chocolate chips (1 1/2 cups)
Preheat oven to 375º. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Sift flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda into medium bowl
In a mixing bowl beat the brown sugar, granulated sugar, butter and vanilla on high until light and fluffy, 3-5 minutes. lower speed to medium and add eggs on at a time, beating until incorporated. On low speed, gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Add chocolate chips by hand. Scoop by 2 tablespoons amounts (or use ice cream scoop on to baking sheets. Moisten the heel of your hand and finger with water and flatten the cookies until they are perfectly round about 1/4 inch thick. Space cookie about 1 inch apart. Bake cookies until set in the center, rotating pans halfway through 8 to 10 minutes total.
